I've been looking into the feasability of colouring an animation in FlipaClip, rather than doing what I usualy do - exporting the line drawings to TVPaint on the PC to do the colouring there. It's actually worked out OK, but there is one thing that would radically speed up the workflow.


If it were possible, once an area of a drawing has been copied, to select multiple frames and then have Flipaclip paste the contents of the paste buffer into all selected frames - that would be brilliant. It is a feature that is available in TVPaint, and one that I use all the time when colouring images across many frames.

Hello guys. It will be nice if I can set that a layer is shown the whole movie. Or that I can make that it disappears anytime. Or that many frames (animation) are looping. So when I add a new frame, the layer is shown.
Multiple backgrounds

It's fairly inconvenient to not be able to have multiple backgrounds for scenes. I make my backgrounds detailed, so that means I draw them on another platflorm. I also find it kind of a waste of layers to draw backgrounds on.

Select Multiple Layers

 I think it would be really useful if we could select and edit multiple layers at once, like move them, paste them into other frames and such, because sometimes I make an error and have to move both the lineart and color layers and trying to line them up manually is time consuming if I mess up a lot of frames xD Also since I understand that adding a camera tool is hard, multiple selecting layers can work for that too. Like If we would want to zoom in a scene we could do so much easier if we could select all layers, it would come out much smoother too, and if at some point a magnetics system like procreate would be added, It would compliment the multiple layers system and it could be sooo much easier. Anyways thats my idea, and thank you so much for all the things that are already added to flipaclip, I really appreciate it :3 

Select layers

I think the option to select a layer’s content would be helpful.

Say, I draw a red circle on one layer, but then I want it to be blue, so I would select that layer and colour over it, making it blue.

And it’d be nice if it works on separate layer as well, selecting the red circle layer and  paint stripes over it on another layer.

! Need Delete All Layers Option

Need a way to delete all layers when deleting a frame. It can be a huge pain when you want to simply delete a frame but have to switch layers and repeate the same process for each. I currently have 3 layers and want to delete 10 frames. That means deleting 30 times. Way too tedius for such a simple task. Puts a big damper on creativity on the fly (which is why i use FlipaClip in the first place).

Add more than one background

I think that instead of having just one background we should be able to add different backgrounds like when you choose a background but you don't want just one you want to be able to add as many as you want


You know it's just a thought tho

1) could it be possible to copy more than one layer from one picture to the next ?

2) could it be possible to copy a layer to a new one for making a scalable copy ?

I have an idea how to improve the flipaclip! When i delete the previous layer all layers are deleted.
Deleting layers on ONE slide

Can you please make it where when you delete a layer it only deletes it on ONE layer? I didn’t know it deleted it on ALL of the layers and now I have to start my animation all over again.

Frames viewer

on the frames viewer, I noticed I could select all frames or deselect them all, myself. It gets very time consuming (as if making these updates wasn't time consuming enough for you ;—;). I would like to have a deselect all (frames) feature, it would allow animations to be made a little easier, especially with cycles. If you have the time, please make this in the next update.

Add a multiple layers selection (lazo)

I have drawn a glass of water in many layers and I want to make it flip without merging the layers.

If we can select more than one frame to delete. And no need to ask if we want to remove when we select the frame ...hold to delete.. waste of time. Thank u

Is there any way to select frames and delete them like that? I have to delete 201 frames and it's not going well holding and clicking the trash button 201 times.

I have the beta version and it would be so much cooler if you could select multiple layers to delete.

Frames viewer idea

Okay so I have an idea for the frames viewer. You know how when you press select it selects all the frames. Can you do a thing where if you press once you can select the frames you want, and if you double tap the select button it selects all, so it’s easier to choose frames. If there is a frames viewer hack that makes it easier to select frames let me know.

I think that your program is the best tablet animation app but While I was animating it was so hard to make stick man walking because I can’t select all of walking methods in different farm I want to select many frames in same time and drag it

Thing is I can't give you an estimated time since there are some areas that are so complex that it seems it will take a day of work and ends up taking over 4 weeks... :/ We are working towards a new update for the next 1-2 weeks hopefully sooner. This update will not have the new color picker but will have some other major features we will announce soon. :)

Very cool idea. Do you see this feature working from the stage timeline or frames viewer? I assume stage timeline.

Yes - I see this working on the stage timeline, as an extension of the copy/paste functions. So it would only be working on the contents of the active layer.
