hello devs, its me again after 3years of using flipaclip, first I'd like to say thanks so much for all the updates you've given to us these past few years.. flipaclip has evolved a lot since I started using it 3years ago and I have some more suggestions if that's no problem....there's this setting most art softwares have on their layers called"Protect Alpha" which when active on a layer, let's you only draw on whatever brush stroke is on that particular layer (google photo attached) this would help a lot with changing the colors of lineart and drafts without having to draw everything allover again in a different color...if this is do able, pls add this layer feature in any upcoming updates, thanks :)

Ideas I Have

I feel like having alpha lock would be an easy to implement but useful tool, to be able to alpha lock a layer so we are allowed to draw on currently drawn lines on the layer which would make tasks such as coloring outlines or shading much more easier. I also think having custom brushes of some sort would be amazing as well.

Alpha Layer Lock?

I feel like I read somewhere that Flipaclip was getting alpha layer lock?  But it never did.  Keep in mind, I may be wrong, maybe I thought I saw it but didn’t.  Still, I am in desperate need of alpha layer lock haha.  I have the perfect sketch line art but it’s in another color and I hate using the fill color tool to change the lines to the color I need because it makes it very pixeled and leaves hints of the original color.  I’m not sure how long it would take or how difficult it would be to implement it into flipaclip, but if possible, could it be added?  Or does anyone know some secret way around it?  Thank you so much in advance!

add alpha lock

itd be nice to have an alpha lock type thing, this could help with shading and make it so you can color lineart !

Hey, thanks for your suggestion  :)
We haven’t added Protect Alpha feature into the app yet, but I think that’s an awesome idea!

I’ll pitch this to the team and see what they think.
