FlipaClip can be hard sometimes, even though I love it. The select tool is really useful, yet it needs improvement.

Select the option box:

A small tab where you can access most of the stuff I’m talking about;w; for things that are in this, I’ll put a § at the beginning

[§] Blur from Select tool:

This should be optional because some people want a blur. But you should be able to turn it off the reduce the blur after making the place you selected and changing the size.

[§] Select with a shape:

You should select a shape. Take MediBang for example, it has a square select. There should be a square, circle, and triangle.

Magic wand

This should be in the toolbar next to the select tool, or it could be in the settings, whatever you like!

When you tap on the spot, it selects it. You can choose to add so you can add by tapping, and the previous select will still show rather than being replaced.

Hey there! I love the new sound update, keep on growing Flipaclip! I would like to give you an idea, maybe be able to use a "Selection" tool, where you select an area to color, with out it going out and over the line art!
Advance Selector tools

Like you could double tap on a line and it will be selected. Then you could move it around.

Suggestion: Selection Tool

So basically my suggestion is to add a selection tool where, let’s say, you draw a circle. Then you tap on the inside of the circle to select it. This would be good for multiple reasons, mainly for complicated designs. Hope you consider this!

Add in more information for selection tool (specifically iOS)

Hi there, I’ve noticed that in Android, when selecting an area, if gives information about the X and Y coordinate as well as the degrees the selected item is rotated at.

I use iOS as a more dominant tablet for Flipaclip and I tween with it very often. However, it is often difficult for me to make everything smooth and on sync, and body parts will trail behind or get forward to quickly.

Image 459You can see that the body parts dont look all properly connected, this is because I have no way of measuring how far the parts meed to be rotated.

It really bothers me because since I have to edit each frame manually, I have to get everything perfect before Flipaclip crashes on me for spamming the paste button. It would be a huge help if you added this information onto the iOS version, so I can calculate how many degrees i have to rotate the parts each time instead of guesstimating and creating chaos.

More Selection Options!

I think you should add more options like change the perspective of selected image and when you crop the image would have Add or Less Selection  because it's hard to crop well in a first stroke so please add these features!

And you could make it like a drawing selection instead crop the image selection, but it could be optional

Color Select Idea

I was wondering if you could consider adding a selection tool where you can select which color you want to select. Something like a magic wand. I’m making an animation and I have different colors on the same layer and I would LOVE to just be able to select 1 of the colors I used on a layer. Plzzz consider adding this because I would love that!

so, my idea is that when you use the lasso tool, you can either move things with it or you can like, make it so your drawing doesn’t go out of the selected area! sorry if my explanation is weird-

Hey, thank you very much for your suggestion. Most of the things you suggested are already something that we are thinking about and it is just a matter of time when they are going to be in the app.
FlipaClip is work in progress so expect all those tools in the future :)

i agree, and also an option to select an open area by tapping on the screen once
