Transparency for Eraser Not Working
I was trying to use the eraser to make my lines 50% transparent, but instead, the eraser erased my line entirely. Is this part of a new update, or is it a bug?

My eraser, even at 100% will not erase smoothly. Also, at 1 px, it won’t erase at all. I’ve had this problem once before, but it was fixed, but now it’s happening again. Is this just me or is it happening to others too?
Can you make it so that the eraser tool is like the marker tool when the opacity is lowered so that it doesn’t over lap it’s self on iOS
Before the update, the opacity thing worked. But after, when I set it to like 1%, it acts like it’s 100%! Please fix this.
When I feel with the bucket tool the color is always not transparent, even if I choose some transparency. I mean that when you paint with a brush with transparency, you can see the underlying layer, but with the bucket it's not the case. Xiaomi MI A1 Android 8.1.0
Thanks, great app!
Hello, the device is an iPad Pro, but when I lower the opacity for the eraser, it erases most of it, either stylus or touch.
The transparent part of the eraser is important for my animations. I have seen similar posts of users who own iOS about this topic, I hope I get an answer.
No Transperancy in eraser? I just want to ask when will you guys add a transparency on the eraser in ios? Because everytime I lover the transparency with the eraser, It just erases. It works but it doesn’t act like the pen when you lover the transparency, it is that opacity I want to draw with and it doesn’t look smudgy. I hope you know what I’m talking about, please answer.
I noticed you tried to fix the bug where the eraser opacity option would still fully erase things no matter the opacity, however the bug is still present for me.
Hello again, i have noticed a bug with the eraser tool and its opacity feature. If you were to set the eraser to a certain percent, even 1% then it will erase the entire thing anyways. Its like it stacks onto itself or something. I have tried to upload pictures but its not working for some reason.
The eraser’s opacity is not working on iOS for some reason. I think it’s working on the android version but not on my ipad pro. I’ve watched a flipaclip effects video from Terenry RM and she have no trouble on using the erasers opacity tool but it doesn’t work on my ipad both the opacity and the softness tools. No mater how much I’ve changed it and it’s still the same opacity and softness(or blurriness I dunno) . I don't want to move from using a ipad into a samsung tablet just because the eraser tool form flipaclip doesn’t work on my ipad and I don’t want to pay thousands of dollars for this it’s just not worth it. Please read this and fix it as fast as possible please. It will save me a lot of time and money. And the reason that i said please read because this topic has been discussed for years but hasn’t been fixed yet. I wanted to stick on flipaclip for animation for now because I’m still learning to animate and I want to stay low on budget. I’m not sure what’s causing this problem but please fix it, it means a lot to me. Thank you and here's Terenry’s video for you to check out.
And oh, please reply if you’ve fixed it or not.
On one of my projects, whatever I do the eraser transparency is 100%. I can turn it to 0% and try to erase and it erases everything. When I restart FlipaClip or exit and return to the project the eraser transparency is at 100% even if I left it at 0%. Another thing is in FlipaClip tutorials on YouTube, they are able to eras things similar to the highlighter tool, where even if you go over a previous mark it stays the same transparency. That doesn’t happen with me though. I don’t understand why.
I have an FlipaClip on my IPad and phone. The eraser transparency works fine on my phone, but on my iPad, it doesn’t work at all! No matter how low I put it, it erases my entire line! This has been going on for a while, so I’m not sure how to fix it since it happens to every of my projects.
I personally find it harder to use when the opacity of the eraser is turned down and there’s a line in the middle of what you’re erasing that has opacity higher than the outside of that line and erases more than what you’re aiming for. So if possible, could you guys make it so that the eraser has the same opacity outside and inside of the part you’re erasing?
Even though i always have my erasers at 100% opacity, if i put the eraser tool at under 4 Pixels It doesn't fully erase whatever i wanted it to erase as if it had 50% opacity. This is mildly annoying and I hope to see it fixed in the future. Thanks!!
Help me pls tell me wai
Hello,
I was able to reproduce the issue on my side so it looks like a bug. I have reported it to the developers and they will work to fix this ASAP.
We are sorry for the inconvenience. Thank you for your patience.
Best,
Dusan
Anyway I’ve tried deleting and reinstall the app but the result is that the eraser’s blurriness is woking perfectly fine but the transparency is not. I can just lower the opacity of that layer and I’ll be fine but it’ll be great if you fix that bug.
I have the same problem. My device is GALAXY G3 Android 4.3. Brush and text transparency is fine, but always opaque for flood fill. Otherwise everything works beautifully - a really great app that perfectly satisfies my creativity!

Hello,
Would you mind being slightly more specific about the problem you are having so we can better understand how to fix this? :)
Please elaborate a bit more and tell us what exactly are you trying to do and what is happening.
If possible include screenshots of your issue or even better a video recording of your screen :)
Thank you,
Dusan!
When I try to do a low opacity eraser, it does kind of a brush effect, instead of cleanly erasing at a low opacity. But I’m able to do low opacity with the pen tool.
