Crashing when I scroll through the timeline, drawing on the frame, copy and paste, change layer, etc.
Recently, really only today, my flipaclip keeps crashing whenever I go through the timeline, copy and paste, change layers, and even when I’m drawing on a frame. I have enough storage on my iPad (I’m using iPadOS 13.1.1) so I don’t really know why? I am going to restart my iPad but otherwise, I have no idea why it keeps crashing.
I am using an ipad ios, My version is 2.0.2 I DİD re opened the app, and it happens to all of the projects which is sad,

Could you please try to remove to lag for the bigger canvas sizes? It’s hard to animate when it looks all choppy and you don’t know what you have to fix. Thanks!
My screen keeps freezing, whenever I get past 60 frames; which I have to do often, I cannot draw or lasso or anything.
So I found one of my old animations and I started to work on it and I wanted to change the FPS but when I tried it just closed me out of the whole app
Hi. I am experiencing bad drawing lag when my palm touches the screen. If I put my palm down first then draw it’s fine. If I keep my palm off the screen it’s fine. The problem is whole drawing my palm or one of my fingers will inevitably touch the screen which slows the stroke down.
I set the input to stylus only and still have the same problem. Is there something i’m missing. Please help as this very frustrating. I also paid for the app.
I'm trying to animate, but it crashes when I'm copying and pasting frames in frame veiwwer and when I load back up, It doesn't come back to what I was doing, but back to where I started. I try to go foward to countinue what I was doing, but it crashes again. I have Flipaclip 2.2.6 for Android.
Hi I really like using this app but everytime I roatate the screen it just Lage and makes a line and it also happends everytime I draw :(
When I save the animation with the new update it doesn’t work. It’ll go through the whole Make a Movie process smoothly but when I click Save Image or Video it crashes. It doesn’t save the picture either. Not sure if I’m the only one struggling but it’s hard to work with,
To explain, I simply want to save my animation as an MP4. However, this particular one will start to export, then get to the end of the loading bar, and immediately crash. Once I open up the app again, I see a new movie with a title full of a jumble of letters and numbers, with sometimes other random animations I’ve successfully exported as the thumbnail for some reason. I’ve been kind of stressing over this, as it’s really urgent and I want to get my entry in.

There’s a bug of when I copy and paste things a bunch of times the whole app will crash
Recently the app has been crashing while I’ve been working which is very frustrating and when it crashes my work never saves and I have to keep redoing the same work that I’ve been doing for the past couple of hours anyway, I’m not sure wether it’s because of the recent update or if it’s my device but anyway I hope this can get fixed as soon as possible.

Every time I attempt to import a video into my project, the app crashes when it reaches 90-100% completion. I really want to appreciate and utilize this feature but it’s incredibly frustrating when I cannot import a video of any size/length. Just updated my iPad Pro to IOS 12.4 (up to date) and it still crashes. Please fix this bug. I purchased the full version so I’d like to make the very most of it. Thanks

I updated the app and I could open it just fine. Then I pressed the button to read the rules of the Christmas contest but when I went back to the app it crashed. I have an IPhone SE, iOS 11.4.1. Could you maybe look into this?

when I added a video it started lagging a lot to the point where the animation is almost completely delayed I'm using my Android device because my iPhone broke which whenever I imported a video on there nothing like that would happen so does this only happen with android devices? or is it my storage space but I highly doubt that's it considering my storage space is no where near high and if this happens with others and you've fixed it somehow can you tell me please? If not then I would report this as a bug. thank you for your time.

When I try to open project settings on some of my projects, the app crashes. The same thing happens whether I try to do it from the "projects" screen (by tapping and holding on the thumbnail and pressing the pencil button) or from inside the project. I've also noticed that it happens on all my older projects (from about a year ago) but not any of my more recent ones. It's also happening on a copy of a project from a year ago (I copied the project recently). I'm using an iPad Pro (12.9 inch) and iPadOS 14.0.1.
Whenever I’m sketching, the line lags a bit, then draws a straight line from where it lagged to where my pen is at (I use an iPad Pro and an Apple Pencil). I know that storage isn’t an issue as I deleted a bunch of apps, photos and videos yesterday. Is it just me?

Every single time I try to use the colour select tool, it just randomly freezes and I have to either exit that animation or restart the app. And when it does work, for some reason I have to bend my stylus sideways to make it work? Doesn’t make sense, considering I can literally draw with the tip of the stylus.
Yes I’ve tried restarting my iPad, did nothing. I don’t plan to redownload in case I can’t get my purchases back (as it’s happened once before), so....no idea what to do to fix this?

I'm having a problem with the app where the entire contents of a frame are being deleted after I undo something.
The most recent example was while animating a walk cycle. I was halfway through drawing a frame and I pasted a reference object from a previous frame. I realized I pasted it on the wrong later and tapped undo, and it deleted everything on the layer. Tapping redo or undo doesn't bring it back, the contents are just erased forever.
I've had this problem four times in the past week. Twice when undoing a paste and twice when undoing a line I had drawn. It's gotten to the point where I don't even want to spend time on any work for fear of losing it.
I'm on a Lenovo TB-X606F running Android version 9. I have Flipaclip with all premium features unlocked. Canvas rotation is turned off and I have over 50GB of available storage. I would really appreciate any assistance that could be provided!

I had recently spotted something where when I try to sending my animations to camera it crashes.
Every time I click project settings it crashes FlipaClip. I’m on a IPad Pro (10.5-inch).

The first time I download flipaclip... It looks okay and fun (back in 2017), but something's wierd that i keep crashing... Now today is wasn't ordinary, the buttons in the project i try to import, it teleport to project while import is on progress, i think it's glitch or something, please help ;-;

every time I run the video to see how it looks, it lags.
Everything else works fine but once I try to import any video it crashes on my tablet. App is updated, tablet fairly new.
when ever I want to input a video I wait FOREVER and when it’s almost done it crashes and then I have to wait a whole day for it to start working agian and by then I could only do 1 video please try to replicate the problem

It's kinda unfortunate; I uninstalled and re-installed the app, but it's still crashing and won't let me past the "what's your age" confirmation.
So on the side with my eraser, pens and text sometimes either the pen, text or eraser will disappear and I have to close flipaclip to make it come back

Yo. I am an avid user of this amazing app and a I love it to bits, but there's one teensy issue I have with it. I set the pen pressure setting to Stylus only, but whenever I draw with my palm resting on the screen as I draw, the pen stroke slows down and and often teleports to where my stylus is. How do I fix this issue? I've seen only one person have this problem, so I don't know if it's a hardware thing or not. Please, help me!!! It'd be much appreciated! ♥️⭐️
whenever I try to "make a movie" where the project file is 1080p it would either give me an error or, after restarting the app, show me that it exports it but then when I view it it's a bugged thing with the duration of 0:00 where it keeps repeating the first 2 frames or just export an entirely broken video that not even the native gallery app can open.
if I change the size to 720p in the export section it exports just fine.
while working on the project I encounter no problems, besides lag from time to time but that might be my device. this happens with all projects, regardless of fps or overall duration of the animation.
restarting the app doesn't work, I keep doing it over and over, even restarting my phone doesn't do anything.
I didn't set any special canvas dimensions, I don't have a premium account and I use the YouTube (1080p) preset that the app offers.

Don’t allow me to change frames per second. First I choose 5 frames per second, and know I want to change for 12, and the App FlipaClip goes down!
My Flipaclip’s copy and paste won’t corporate. If I copy the frames and paste it, it takes forever. And if I copy my frame and instead paste it on another frame, it will mark as nothing on the frame. Every time I click on a Flipaclip project of mine, it takes forever to load. Including when I wanna change the flips or the background. Also, if you draw on the frames some of them will be nothing and it will leave an empty frame. Idk what to do 😓. Sorry idk if you understand anything. I’m not good at saying anything specific 😅

I was trying to delete a frame from my animation and my entire app froze. I waited for it to delete it and nothing was happening. I also tried deleting one of my old projects and it also froze the app.
Ever since the new update last night, often when I try to scrub through or play back what I’ve animated, the app will crash. I’d say this happens about 60% of the time I try to use these features.

So, there is this bug that whenever I try to merge a layer, it does not respond and freezes the entire app. It would be cool if you fixed this.
When I'm doing an animation my frames won't animate and the song stops, the animation won't go!! I tried to install the app again but it didn't work!!
every time i open/make/close an animation it just sits me at a white screen for about 8 minutes or so. i cant change the colors or else it crashes almost immediately and doesn't let me use the undo button when i do change the colors.
I also cannot delete frames, layers, or animations without everything just clocking forever.
the app now consistently crashes after about 30-40 minutes of being used and then i lose everything.
ive used flipaclip for over two years now and its actually become so miserable to animate with this new update. ive been checking the app store every single day (since the new update) to see if they've released a new update that fixes the issues ive been having. Please fix this, ive enjoyed animating my whole life up until this point, i just wanna animate again.

I would click the “Project Settings” button on some of my projects and it would just flash a loading screen for 2 seconds then kick me out of the app.
After installing the latest version of iPad iOS (14 .0.1) whenever I start a new project and create a few frames the app crashes. It will also crash if I try to open that project again. This has happened with every new project I started. I can add to projects created before the iOS update with no crashes. I am using a 6th Generation iPad and still have 43gig of available storage. I hope you can help. Thanks.
App is crashing when all but one animation is clicked on. I soon as I click on an animation I was working on it immediately closes the app. Started about a week ago. I’m on an iPad 7th gen running iPadOS 14. Plenty of storage. I did check everything in the forum first but found nothing for this issue.
My daughter uses this program quite often and when she was running into these problems I had her email the developer herself but the process has been slow to fix things so I'm bringing things here, especially now that I've purchased all of the premium features for her and yet none of them applied to the app itself (and still charged me. Twice.)
She's using an Amazon Kindle Fire (5th Generation). She's had flipaclip for a couple of years now I think and never had any problems with it whatsoever before until the latest update, according to her. After the update the add will suddenly crash every once in awhile but will crash regularly when you advance past a certain amount of frames in the animation, usually around the 60s.
Needless to say this is hindered her from completing her projects. We have sent at least one bug report, possibly to bug reports to the developer. The developer emailed us back asking for us to take a video shot of the issue happening but we are not sure how to do that. We're working on that now.
Via searching for everything we discovered all of the special features all of the premium features, and I decided to purchase the package deal with all of the premium features. The purchase was made, the receipt was received, but the app does not seem to recognize the purchase or apply the premium features.
We've closed and restarted the app. We have shut down and then restarted the Kindle Fire. The special features have still not been applied to the app. Just to test things I went to go add more than three layers tuba frame to initiate the premium feature pop up, I chose to purchase only the six layer feature, which it let me pay for again and again did not apply to the application.
Obviously any kind of refund situation will not be worked out here on the Forum but my daughter is extremely enthusiastic about the application, is about to start a YouTube channel which is a part of her spring break project and yet we are running the into all of these problems with the application to the point where we practically can't even use it.

Basically, I’m making a simple animation, but for whatever reason the copy and paste buttons don’t always respond.
The ruler is seemingly unaffected(but I could be wrong, as I never use it,) but sometimes I have to hit copy multiple times to make sure it works before going to the next frame to paste.
I’m making a 13FPS project just over 15 seconds in length, with 5 layers and audio.
My device is a iphone 6, running ios 12.4.8.
I have my storage at about 50% max capacity.
Turning off canvas rotation doesn’t fix it, but it did make playback less glitchy, which is at least one less issue.
Currently, the problem is manageable, but it is a mite frustrating and slows down the process a bit for every time I attempt to paste, only to get nothing or the thing I last copied instead of the thing I currently wish to copy/paste.

I’ve been using this app to animate for around 3 years now, and have had little to no major issues with it. I’m using a brand new iPad so I obviously shouldn’t. I just got the new update, and I’m mostly happy with it, but now whenever I try to edit my project settings the whole app crashes. I’m not sure if this issue is exclusively on IOS or if android users have the same problem, but either way you need to look into this, as it is a major dent in this app.
When using apple pencil in flipaclip the latency is way too high (no matter which resolution and frame rate i choose) and therefore really breaks the flow of what i’m doing, a lot of apps don’t have this issue like the apple notes app so why this?

I've been using FlipaClip for a short while now. But occasionally, when I try to delete frames or add sound effects from my device, it freezes and doesn't register any of my touches. I need to reset the app to make it work again. It only happens after a while, as sometimes it mysteriously works again, and then it freezes. I have an iPad Mini four.

I really love flipaclip and I love to animate so this bug is quite the nuisance. Whenever I use my Apple Pencil to draw in about three minutes or so up the entire app will freeze and nothing will work. I tested it out without my Apple Pencil and it didn’t happen sooo yeah it’s pretty unfortunate.
I don't know how to fix this but when I make a movie and share it it lags like crazy

My animation is slowing down on a 24fps. I do 1f-90f because if I do the whole animation it will slow down. In the 2.0.3 it was fine but now it's just bad.
When I work on a project I can’t add audio. When I Press on the audio icon the app tends to freeze. It’s happening with all my projects. I tried using the add audio icon and record audio icon and each time the app would freeze then I have to close the app and reopen it. it really sucks that the app is not working properly and the add audio is a premium feature that I paid to have access too. I also can’t create an actual account when going through the setup process. While creating an account when it prompts me to enter my birthday the app just freezes. Can you please help me? I need this fixed As soon as possible.

I have this class assignment that I am animating, It's about three minutes long, and whenever I go into the frames viewer tool, the app goes into the loading screen and then goes back to the main screen? I think it may have to do with all of these thousands of blank frames that the app created! I can never delete them all! Also, yes, know about the select all tool, but that's in the frames viewer screen, where my problem is. The loading screen problem also happens if I am on an animation for more than 20 minutes. I while back a bought everything on IOS, it worked well exept a few crashes.
So I got another phone but it's now an andriod.
I bought everything AGAIN, and the problem is I can't even animate on the app!

Sometimes I'm erasing along the edges to smooth out an animation and the entire layer of the frame I'm working on just vanishes. The size of the tool doesn't matter, the whole thing just erases instead. When I press undo it shows up as only square chunks along where I'd been editing and I have to redo the whole frame. Another thing I've noticed is the app crashes when pasting things. These issues are both frequent and can make the process of animating much more difficult.
Every time I try to import a video, the App crashes. It gets to about 90%(sometimes earlier) then crashes. it will crash when trying to export a video, then when i go back on the app it adds a lot of blank frames as if something was imported when it wasn’t. Help! I tried to make my Comeback animation, but every time I try to make it a movie (convert it to an MP4), it loads partially and crashes. Usually this happens when the animation is longer than 30 seconds.Is there any way to fix this? My device isn't that old either.

(Using iOS on iPad) Whenever I select something and move it, it has a slight chance (maybe like 40-45%) to delete itself. It happens after I finish moving the selection and leave the frame. Even if I stay on that frame and don’t leave it I can still see the thing I moved is missing from the frame scrolling thing at the bottom.
Whenever using imported audio, it would work through frames normally for a short amount of time, then stop and I'd have to refresh the app. This happens consistently and when playing the audio through the audio area it only plays once until it stops working even when just using display. It gets back whenever I refresh the app but still only lasts a very short time.
A glitch happened that made it so a layer got deleted, I tried to fix it but it ended up deleting nearly thousand frames and hundreds of hours of work from my animation, I spend all god damned summer and it and now it is gone forever, I was so close to posting it on YouTube, I’ve spent money on this app and this is how it treats me, this was the most ambitious project I have ever worked on and may have been they key to my success as a YouTuber, I am so utterly furious and now I feel like quitting animation for good, please can you help me recover what your app destroyed? I’m sorry if I sound rude, but a quarter years work has been wasted

It runs on the latest version, IPadOS 13.6
So I got TestFlight to try out the beta version of Flipaclip because I saw others doing this.
But everytime I open up the app, it doesn’t completely open. It freezes the little animation that plays before the app itself opens. It stays frozen for about 10 seconds and then I can finally see my projects. But now everytime I try to play a project, it doesn’t play it. The audio doesn’t play, one frame stays frozen, nothing works.
I expected to have been able to continue animating this thing I’ve been working ok for a while, but now I can’t since it won’t work.
so, when I try to draw something my pen usually goes in some random direction I didn’t touch, and sometimes when I do a stroke it gets erased when I don’t use the eraser, select tool, or undo tool.

There are a couple of things that can cause this:
1. Please go to your device settings and check how much free space do you have on your device. If you are low on storage space this will cause the app to not work correctly. Essentially causing drawings to be lost and app to crash or become laggy. Please make sure to make some space on your device before you start drawing.
2. It can also be related to not enough RAM on your device. If you feel that your device is underpowered be sure to disable "Canvas Rotation" from under the FlipaClip settings, it should make FlipaClip much smoother for you. Also, be sure to exclude FlipaClip from battery optimization.
3. When you create a new project pick a smaller canvas size. Using a 1080p size will only make things slower. Bigger canvas size means more pixels that need to be loaded from storage.
4. Having lots of layers requires more images to load. If you aren't using some simply hide them or remove them.

Why was my issue with the copy paste tool merged here? My issue and this issue aren’t the same.
I had copy paste not always functioning the first time I clicked it, not issues with a glitchy playback or issues with the app crashing.
My unrelated issue was also just merged here. Flipaclip is deleting the contents of my frame when I tap undo, not doing any of these other things. I'm also on an Android device, not iOS.
What's the recommended RAM for running Flipaclip?

Please understand that we try to do our best to respond to every question.
I merged your question with this one for the following reason: copy - paste function is related to the amount of RAM that your phone has and how the OS is handling and using that memory.
Overtime our app has grown and it has bigger requirements (of course that we pay attention to the compatibility as well) but in some cases, where users have older devices and systems that are simply the reasons why the clipboard isn't filling data correctly. Also, there is a thread on the iOS forum in 12.X version where people have the same issue.
Those are all the reasons why it is here and where we provided four suggestions on how to make your app run smoother.

There are a couple of things that can cause this:
1. Please go to your device settings and check how much free space do you have on your device. If you are low on storage space this will cause the app to not work correctly. Essentially causing drawings to be lost and app to crash or become laggy. Please make sure to make some space on your device before you start drawing.
2. It can also be related to not enough RAM on your device. If you feel that your device is underpowered be sure to disable "Canvas Rotation" from under the FlipaClip settings, it should make FlipaClip much smoother for you. Also, be sure to exclude FlipaClip from battery optimization.
3. When you create a new project pick a smaller canvas size. Using a 1080p size will only make things slower. Bigger canvas size means more pixels that need to be loaded from storage.
4. Having lots of layers requires more images to load. If you aren't using some simply hide them or remove them.
