Add Shading Option
Just somehow make it so it’s at least possible to add shading on things unless you use a black brush and turn down opacity but.. just no how about a selection tool like this

If I understand correctly you are asking for a feature that allows you to "mask" a layer or group of layers right? So basically what you will do is create a shape that will be turned into a mask that will "cut out" things under it. We have been looking at creating groups of layers and having features like this.

I never really understood the term “masking” but I realize I didn’t explain it very well I’m talking about a feature we’re you could use the “auto select tool” which say you made a grid out of squares you would press the inside of one of those squares and it would select it making it so you cannot draw or do anything outside of that square until you exit the selection tool if that is what masking is please tell me but if not that is what I meant
