How to change opacity of a layer?
Can you add an easier way to change the opacity on layers? It’s so annoying when the layer moves instead of the opacity changing!

Layer Opacity when merging & restoring deleted frames

heres my suggestions:
-if you put a layer on lets say 40% opacity then merge it with the layer below which is 100%, the 40% layer will become 100%- i had to restart a map part that i had worked on for about 2 weeks due to that, so maybe if you could add a way to keep the opacity?
-ive also experienced an issue where i accidentally deleted a bunch of my frames in a huge project that i had worked on for about a month at the time and i didnt realize it until i got out of the view frames screen, and when i tried going back in there to undo it i couldnt click the undo button. maybe you could add a thing that saves the frames you add & delete so you can go back and forth, until you go out of the actual project kind of like the layers have.

so, I have a problem with the current opacity settings. It gets kind of annoying when you're drawing and then you accidentally let go, and then try to do it again but the opacity layers ( if that makes sense )
Will there be an update to this so there will be no layer(???) on opacity?

Layer transparency for pre-sketches and pen tool feature
I enjoy this app to the extreme, but there are a few things missing to complete the experience. It could be nice to be capable of changing the transparency of a layer or maybe even change the color-tone. This way it would be easy to draw a sketch and then draw on top in a new layer, as you can tell the difference between the sketch color and the final color. I feel that this is quite essential to a more refined animation, which this app totally can manage!
Furthermore, if pressure-sensitivity also influenced the width of the pen and maybe a little darker pencil it could reach new heights :)

Hello, I’ve been trying for so long (like an hour) to change the opacity of a layer. I’ve read many threads and the only reply given is to press and hold, and not move left to right but up and down. This does not help! It’s rather irritating. Hope it gets fixed soon, as it’s very fiddly when it just moves the layer!

Merging layers opacity
When merging layers with different opacity it takes the bottom layers opacity. Like if one layer is 90% opacity and you touch and hold it over another layer with 100% opacity, it will merge to be a 100% opacity making the 90% one turn completely opaque. Please change this by keeping the opacity the same when merging.

Help with merging layers with opacity please?
For some reason anytime I’m using FlipaClip and merging layers with opacity it also will change the other layers opacity. For example, I could be shading under line art and when I finish and merge the layers the line art becomes the same opacity as the shading. It’s really annoying and I don’t understand why the merge layers work like that, I use to use the eraser to make things transparent but because of the new updates I can’t do that anymore. Basically the merging of layers with opacity makes everything a lot more complicated for me. Also yes I have tried to copy and paste the drawings instead of merging but nothing seems to work. I’m not sure if I’m doing something wrong but I’m just having trouble with this at the moment.
Line art changed color?
i was lining my animation when the app freaked out and changed my line art color to be semi transparent, the layer opacity is at 100, how do i fix it to go back to black?

one thing please, i created an animation with a draft of moving for to make sure that it would be moving smooth and looks real. after that, i completed it after draft. it would be nice to adjust the opacity of the layer. just make it blur.

First of all, I really wanted to make an animation without any flashing movements. I wanna make a fluid animation. Have you watched DISNEY 2d Cartoons? Yes! That's what I wanted to follow, there are no lineart movements, all is perfect. And in order to do that, we need LAYER OPACITY ADJUSTMENT to draw the perfect lineart above the rough animation. I was working in my project . After that when i tried to use eraser than it removed the layer of the vedio too . When i was trying it tells active layer is invisible .
Layer Visibility Control Across Frames
Hi there - is there a way to control the visibility across multiple frames?
The use case is this:
Say I have one layer where I do a rough lay-in and then add a layer on top for the final. Is there a way to turn off the visibility of the rough lay-in layer for all of the frames without having to visit each frame and switch off?
Am I doing it wrong?

Hey Josef, yes you are correct. A layer is shared across all frames. So making a layer invisible will make it invisible to all frames. Also, it will exclude that layer when you build the movie. Along with that, removing a layer will remove the layer across all frames! So be careful! :)

When you try to change opacity just press and hold where it says % of opacity (100% per default) and just drag your finger straight up or down, don't move it left or right.
Check step by step guide on how to change layer opacity:
1. Click on the layers icon in the lower right part of your screen
2. Press and hold on "100%" on the right side of the layer and just drag it up or down.

Ah, I think the layer visibility control actually controls across all the frames. Works for me!

Yes, layer opacity is a feature. If you go into the layer panel; you can hold your finger over where it says '100%' and slide up and down to change the opacity.
I made the base for my animation and in order to not get confused I want to lower the visibility of the sketch layer, but I don’t know how... Can someone tell me how???
