Add option to use keyframes instead of frame by frame?

Keyframes would be easier to use instead of frame by frame.(?)

Duplicates 3
Keyframes please.

Key frames are very useful in animation, and not having them significantly increases the time of making anything on this app.  For example, I finished my sketch animation of a character saying hello and smiling. There are a lot of frames in between some of the movements I want to keep still, so I had to copy and paste all of those. Re-watching the animation, I realize that a small detail on the character in all of the still frames is wrong. Now I have to go back and fix every single frame that the mistake is on, but if I had keyframes, I could simply go back to that one frame and fix the problem, significantly shortening the time and improving my mental health. (Joke) But jokes aside, having key frames in this app would be very useful, and would make the app 80 times better in my opinion. I never make animatics in this app for The sole reason of no key frames. Every still shot I would have to copy and paste. And if I wanted to change it, or found I was missing/had a mistake, well you know the ordeal. Rewind time.
When I am suggesting animation apps to my friends, or people who ask me what I animate with, I always talk about how great this app is, except for the fact that it doesn’t have key frames. Almost always that is a big turnoff for animators who are serious about the time they put into project. What I am saying is that if you put keyframes into this program and advertised it, you would get a lot of mobile users onboard very quickly.
I do understand though that this program is made for everyone. You want for all ages young and old to be able to use it easily, keep it simple. That’s why I suggest that keyframes be a optional animation aid that you can turn on in project settings as you are making a new project. It’s always off if you don’t turn them on manually though, so for people who don’t know how to use them don’t have trouble. After you make the project, whatever you have chosen, stays and cannot be changed later, to avoid compilations in the app.
(side note)- A cool and useful way to show witch one of the frames is a keyframe would be to highlight the border of the frame In a color that associates with the layer that it is on. (Make sure to have separate key frames for separate layers please) and if there are multiple layers that have a keyframe on the same layer, have the colors go in a pattern. And all the frames the keyframe is affecting could have an underline of the color under it, or like a little dot.
In conclusion, adding keyframes as a optional feature would be very useful in the process of animation. It would also make me more inclined to use, and suggest the usage of this app to others interested in animation. If you could add it I personally would be very grateful. And as thank you, in any animation that I made using FlipaClip, I would add either the FlipaClip logo, or have a link to Flip a clip in the description and that’s what I use. I have a TikTok account with over 100k followers so people would notice. ”_candyoverlord_“  I also have a Instagram too where I would do the same. (Same username at this time) If you could, please consider it. Thank you

Add keyframes on the main screen
Add keyframes on the main screen so we dont need to go drawing peg board time to time , cause small time line would be more user friendly
Keyframes + Easing

i think you should add a keyframe/easing option, so tweening wouldn't be so tedious, and so it'll look smoother :)

We do realize that on some cases creating a frame by frame animation can be tedious for certain common tasks. We are exploring and researching ways to provide the similar benefits of keyframes without loosing the main concept that is FlipaClip. It is something you can bet we are thinking about.

Might I suggest, possibly, animate-able layers? (keyable visibility (on/off/fade in/out) position, rotation & scale). Maybe a layer has to be enabled. Once enabled it still functions like a normal layer but is given a little transform tool (like when you select something) only keep it a smaller size so you can still see it. really it would be more of a layer offset tool, but same effect. Maybe another option to toggle frame by frame & single frame. If frame by frame still worked it would allow for some interesting usage.

I don't think it belongs in this app it goes outside it's specialty of frame by frame.I like both types of animation but I think it's better to have seperate apps as then they can specialise. You could always import from a tween based app into Flipaclip and use the layers to work on it or vica versa.

I just think the app will just get clunky trying to be jack of all trades.

Animation Pro on the Ipad is pretty good if you want tweening. It also supports loading in videos so you could easily use them together. Its a shame it's not available on the Android owning a Galaxy note(stylus makes things so much easier).

Yes, if it was an optional thing it could be cool. It would be like "Symbols" in flash where you can key the tranformation, but definitely not something to replace the main functions.

Yup that great

Yeah but maybe there can be a setting where it shows if you wanna animate by keyframes or frame by frame cause most people prefer key frames but some of us prefer frame by frame and if it’s only key frames, then the frame by frame people would be disappointed

I don’t know any app that does both and still be good at both. They’d need to charge more for such an extensive app and bring it out as FlipaClip 2.

Also I am not too sure tweening is more popular FlipaClip seems to be the top app for animating yet it’s speciality is frame by frame.

Keyframes are needed in some simple movements. I don’t want to move and zoom  my background frame by frame

Just adding my voice that I think keyframes would be useful for blocking out animations in animatic form before doing frame-by-frame work after. Otherwise, to block out an animatic, currently you have to do a lot of copying and pasting.

Keyframes may be helpful for those who want to add/import their image in the canvas/drawing board , not just in one frame but in multiple frames by their desired area/frames..if that added it will be great since it will be like an video editor..

And to add it in the app..i think you can try kinemaster for android to gets what it will be look alike..since the apps offer keyframing..
