Can you add put gif.....

Animated background

The same thing as adding a background, but you import a GIF or a video. The video needs to be looped as a animated background. That would be a nice feature to have.

If your able to export png sequences make it possible to import png sequences.

It would be nice

Make it so we can add gifs into projects.

I accidently deleted my project contents when clearing space on my phone but I still have the project finalized in gif form as a back up just in case. Turns out I can't import gifs into projects. I tried via image but it just shows the first frame of the gif as a still image. I realize that I should have exported it in MP4 instead but gif makes it easier to share the project. The pictures still exsist in the gif individually but I can't get them out or copy them and get them into my project.

could you add GIF to the application?

could you add GIF to the application?

Moving backgrounds option

it will be similar to the background but the background will move the scene around with the animation

Video as a background

It would be really helpful to be able to have the option to import a video for the background of the animation, it would make everything sooo much more easier

How to add GIFs to the background?

Backgrounds should have gifs! I wrote this in a review but thought this would be necessary! I dont want to have to purchase additional apps to be able to add moving backgrounds!

Usually, backgrounds are added separately in the composition process.

You can also create moving backgrounds in FlipaClip though. Just create the background on a layer underneath. With each additional frame added you move move the background/ animate it/ redraw it etc..

Hey,

Adding gifs to projects is something we are currently thinking about on and should be possible in the near future :)

As a workaround, you can try to extract the frames of your GIF via Photoshop or some online tool like https://ezgif.com/split and then paste each frame into your project :)

This is getting extremely frustrating. It's just a simple gif and you can't even plug it in. How many years does it take to do basic updating to a basic animation software. Sure I couldn't, but I bet people that can actually program an app can figure out how to put two and two together and be able to put simple IMAGES into your project. I'm tired of these lazy updates. So many people want to do more with this app but instead they have to pay for everything and just wait for updates. 3 years for this useless crap? It's like a beta to a video game. Buggy, empty, and overall incomplete. Sometimes I don't understand why people don't even listen to the people they apparently "cater" to.

hey, hey. The team is very small at the momemt so it cant be whipped up in 8 seconds. These things take time. And it takes even MORE time when your primary focus is on adding audio, which many people are already bugging them about it enough. I wouldnt be suprised if the team is extremely stressed out atm. So they'll get to that road when they cross it. Patience is a life skill.

Thank you for the clarification. I didn't know what the team's primary focus was.

there is a workaround on the gif. I used it last night. Screen capture the gif turn it into a video clip then insert it into your clip...

use your brain ... And ALL  the tools available before dumping your failures on the development team. I've only been using this app for 72 hours ... And it only took me 1 hour to figure out the workaround on gifs ... But then I use 7 different apps and combine tools to do what want to accomplish. No one app is perfect, for the cost I'm very happy with Flipaclip.

yes, but i cant create the types of background i would like, if gifs could be used it would be a lot easier for me to animate and i believe others would agree since they wouldn't have to make/animate their own backgrounds. Im not allowed to have video editors so my backgrounds are plain and boring!

As an option you could always download the gif, extract the frames of it via photoshop (or any other graphic programme) and then paste each frame in your Flipaclip project :)

Hey, you can use some free online tool to extract frames from GIFs.

One of those tools is https://ezgif.com/split
